Update on Government Barcamp

It’s on. September 5, at The Code Factory on Queen Street. More details on the wiki, but 29 people have signed up.

It looks to be a promising day of discussion and information sharing, with representatives from across the government here in Ottawa. There may even be a long distance guest appearance from London!

How to run a government twitter account

This is a case study for how a to run a twitter account branded for a government agency. I think we can all agree that Tom Watson has established an individual style as he has grown comfortable with communicating in 140 characters, but the UKParliament account appears to be well managed and quite capable of maintaining a formal, but responsive, personality on twitter.
